RADON: AIR
Homes with air radon
levels exceeding the E.P.A guideline of 4 pCi/L can be successfully treated
with a process referred to as sub slab depressurization (SSD). This process employs pvc piping and a
fan system to lift and "vent" the radon gas out of the basement and
safely out of the house.

RADON: WATER
Depending upon your well's radon level, one of two general types
of mitigation will be brought into play.
In homes with lower radon levels a whole house
granular-activated charcoal carbon filter system (GAC) can be used.
In homes exceeding that level of radon, an aeration system,
using air bubbles, vents the radon outside the home.
In either case, treatment should be predicted on the highest
levels of radon encountered. Each home is unique and a thorough analysis of your
particular home's needs should be done prior to any course of action.
E.W.D. provides not only complete testing for both air and water
radon levels, but with expert training and certification, can mitigate the
problem properly. Call E.W.D. at (800) 243-9326 for
