Well Pump Systems - Well Water Casing Extension in Oxford, CT

EWS recommends extending the well casing above grade to meet the State of Connecticut’s New Well Construction Code which states the casing must be a minimum of six inches above finished grade. We normally leave it approximately one foot above. By raising the casing you have easier access to the well should you have a future pump problem and eliminates the possibility of groundwater entering the well bore from a deteriorated well seal and/or flooded tile, therefore reducing the chances of  Bacterial contamination.
